The role:
Reporting to our Sales Director the purpose of this role is to grow sales of Agricultural equipment throughout the territory. Targeting growth across our existing customer base while developing and cultivating relationships with new customers.

Your will have a strong background in the agriculture sector, and whilst experience in the machinery sector will be highly regarded, we are really seeking someone who gets agriculture and the challenges that our customers face building a life on the land.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactive new business development, aftersales development, and account management.
  • Maintain a register of existing and potential clients and the relevant decision makers.
  • Identify opportunities for Spare parts and pass them on to the appropriate Terrequipe team members.
  • Maintain a regular call/sales cycle of new and existing customers.
  • Report all technical issues and potential sales leads to the Manager where appropriate.
  • Assist with planning and preparation of trade shows and represent the company when necessary.
  • Assist with planning, preparation, and placement of advertising and promotional material in conjunction with other team members and suppliers.
  • Prepare detailed well-presented written quotations, proposals, and sales contracts for the sale of agricultural equipment.
  • Complete detailed written evaluations of used and trade-in equipment prior to the Company agreeing to purchase equipment.

Ideally you will have:

  • Industry related experience for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Previous experience in a sales role focusing on the agricultural sector.
  • Capital equipment sales experience will be highly regarded.
  • Familiar with MS Office suite, i.e.: Word, Excel and accurate keyboard skills.
  • Ideally from a mechanical background, not essential.
  • Understands the importance of great customer service.
  • Embraces change and promotes innovation within the Company.
  • Open, warm, and friendly approach to others.
  • Current clean Drivers Licence – essential.
  • As Health and Safety is crucial to our industry, you will be up to speed with practices and be able to demonstrate this in your work habits.
